Editing Vs. Revision

I hate editing. It hate it with every bone in my body but I'm learning to love the revision process as a whole. It feels good to take a used canvas and breathe new life into it, to take what's been written- a well traveled path for you, dear writer, and smooth it over for the next reader waiting to be transported into your world. Despite my new found appreciation of the task it's still just that: a task, and there are some larger elements to it that I'm still learning about.
