Freelancing Stuffs

I’m looking around for freelancing opportunities. Something good for a beginner. Anyone have any ideas? I’m not really looking to make money, writing for free is good enough for now, but I really feel like I need to get my foot in the door. You know?

Self publishing all of my thoughts is fine and dandy. So is working on stories that have months to years before they’ll be published. I love writing, it’s what I do but at the same time- it’s be nice to feel like I’m actually doing something with it.

*sigh* All things in their own time I suppose,… still. I can find a huge chunk of freelancing opportunities the only thing is they always seem just beyond my reach. Either the time for them has already passed (or shall soon) or it’s of a topic I have no knowledge. I’ve refined my search time and again. I’ve written things and then searched out places to put them but to no avail each time.

Quite frankly it’s a bit depressing.

I am a writer. A great writer in my own right (still learning but pretty darn good if I may say so) but as far as the markets go… I’m still a student. I mean, I know we’re all students of everything, even those who’ve been working on things for years still have something to learn but I’m just… hell, I’ll just spit it out. I feel clueless. I know a lot but nothing I can put into practice. I can read books, articles, websites, but none of that helps out as much as gaining one’s own experience and still… I can’t find it.

Frustrating, depressing, and maddening. If it weren’t for the rebel in me I’d find nothing good about this- the rebel and my muse (though they might be wearing very similar faces) say it’s great for my writing because every time I get these feelings I start pushing out even more great words in defiance to the whole situation. Still, that’s more works I’ve no place for.

I need help. Direction. A few words of advice about the writing market to help me figure out where the hell I need to go. *sigh* I know one should just dive in, I’ve no problem with that but I just… I don’t know what markets or opportunities are right for me.

Just a rant while I’m scouring the internet. It’s going to be one of those multi-posting days.
