Mmph!

sick-chibi2Ow, ow, ow…!

Not doing so terribly well at the moment. I laid down for a nap a few hours ago and two of my little kitties decided they wanted to play right by my head. Normally not so much of a problem there but tonight they decided to run right across my face. Tommy’s back claws cut into my top lip like a knife through butter. Lots of blood and it’s not very pretty- obviously.

The good news is I don’t need stitches though I have to be really careful not to pull it back open because we have to make the band aids I’m using. It’s in a really awkward place and at an odd angle so Hunny has been cutting up makeshift band aids most of the night to see what works best. The sad thing is since we couldn’t find ‘real’ scissors he’s been using these little plastic (plastic blades too) kindergarten scissors so that’s kind of funny. :)

The bad news, I have to work the next three days with this thing on my face. Now, I don’t normally give a hoot how I look but I have this thing about my teeth… some of them aren’t all in the right spot and it’s bad enough that sometimes I try not to smile when I talk because this one tooth sticks out really far. The cut and the band aid is right over said tooth, pointing it out like a beacon in a storm. :( So, that sucks and it hurts to eat, and talk, and smile but all of that aside- it could have been worse.

Anyways, that was my venting for tonight. I’ve been meaning to get around to every one’s blogs lately but I’ve been having some laptop issues. I’ve also been meaning to make some very important posts on my other blog/site but I’m not going to force it. I know I need to make them, I want to make them, but it needs to happen when it happens.

Working the next three days so if you don’t hear from me you know why. :)

    Oh, my! :-o

Bad, bad kitties. Are they acting all innocent – you know the ‘what, we didn’t do anything’ act?

    Hope you’re better soon! ~LisaB.

Yes, yes they are!! Those furry little snots, lol. :) I didn’t get a chance to come by your site the other night so after work tonight I’ll be stopping by to check out that poem of yours. :) Thanks for the get well comment, I could use them right about now.

Oh, ow! That sounds super painful. I’ve gotten my fair share of scratches from my sister’s cats, but never in such a delicate and prominent place. Oooh, just imagining trying to talk or eat is making me wince. I hope it feels better soon.

Oh, yeah. Using a spoon is a challenge, brushing my teeth is a torture, and don’t even get me started on trying to eat corn on the cob. *shudders* After this I don’t think I’ll ever whine about one of the little superficial cat scratches again. Thankies, thankies, and btw, I got your message about the recent comments widget. Remind me the next time you see me online and I’ll track it down for you (as I’m about to leave for work and have no memory for anything when I just wake up).

Oh bad kitties! I have more kitty related scars on my hands, legs, and face but on the lip! Ouch! If it makes you feel any better my poor hubby had one of the cats pee in his eye and it looked like he was high for about three days :( Feel better!

    • Spirit says:

@ Jessie: My husband used to say “They’re just doing it because they love you” every time one of the cats peed on my stuff. Well, one day, right as he said it, one of the cats turned around and peed on his lap. I haven’t let him live it down even to this day and he never claims they’re doing it out of love anymore. :)

That would suck to get it in the eye though…. *shudders* Reminds me of a South Park episode where everyone was snorting kitty urine to get a buzz. *double shudders*
