For hosting I personally recommend HostMonster.com . They're very affordable, helpful, and they give you so, so, sooo much for the little you pay. Very highly rated and just this night I crashed something (somehow) and they were very patient with my ranting and helped me fix it. If you need help with anything feel free to ask, web work is my 24 hour hobby though if it's WordPress code I can figure it out but it takes me a little bit (some of this stuff is a bit silly compared to most open source). Yes, please come a picking and I hope you find what you need. I know sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what to do with a site but once an idea comes... well, as a fellow writer you know the rest of that thought. ;) Peace peace for now and I look forward to seeing your ideas come to fruition.
